School Type Crosswalk

Crosswalk of the code set currently used to identify school type and the code sets that would replace the current school type identifier and yield in a more detailed method for identifying school type.

Note: This crosswalk is a draft and is provided to give users a general concept of the direction that the California Department of Education (CDE) is moving with regard to identifying school type. Users' input regarding these elements and code sets is appreciated, as the CDE works to implement this change. Retired School Ownership Codes

The following codes are no longer maintained by the CDE, or have been retired. A decision on how to handle these still needs to be made. Options are to purge the data or create new codes to maintain the historical information.
