Second Apportionment to the
Kern County Superintendent of Schools
for the Fiscal Crisis and Management Assistance Team
Fiscal Year 2018–19
This apportionment, in the amount of $45,038, is made to the Kern County Superintendent of Schools from funds provided in Item 6100-107-0001 of the Budget Act of 2018 (Chapter 29, Statutes of 2018) in support of the Fiscal Crisis and Management Assistance Team (FCMAT). The amount paid in this apportionment was approved by the Department of Finance (DOF) on June 26, 2019, as required pursuant to provisional language in Schedule (1), Provision 2(b) of Item 6100-107-0001. These funds will supplement the funds previously apportioned in Schedule 1, Provision 2(a), of Item 6100-107-0001 to support the performance of any responsibilities under California Education Code Section 42127.8.
Pursuant to Provision 8 of Item 6100-107-0001, the Kern County Superintendent of Schools shall annually provide a report detailing past year expenditures, identifying the local educational agencies (LEAs) assisted with these funds and a summary of progress for each. Additionally, the report shall identify a plan for the proposed uses of the allocations, identifying estimated expenditures for each LEA anticipated to be served. This report shall be submitted to the California Department of Education (CDE) and to the DOF by October 1 of each year.
A warrant will be mailed to the Kern County Treasurer approximately four weeks from the date of this Notice. The Kern County Superintendent of Schools is requested to inform the FCMAT immediately regarding this apportionment. For standardized account code structure coding, use Resource Code 7810, Other Restricted State: COE Fiscal Oversight – FCMAT, and Revenue Object Code 8590, All Other State Revenue.
The Kern County Superintendent of Schools was notified of this apportionment by email which was sent to its CDEfisc email address. The CDE requested that the email be forwarded to the FCMAT, and included the links to this letter and the apportionment schedule which are posted on the CDE web page at https://www.cde.ca.gov/fg/aa/fc/.
