The charter school categorical block grant has two funding components: $500 per unit of ADA for 2009-10 multiplied by the charter school ADA, and an amount in-lieu of EIA which is the statewide average amount of funding per identified educationally disadvantaged pupil multiplied by the number of educationally disadvantaged pupils enrolled in the charter school. The per-ADA entitlement plus the in-lieu of EIA funding constitute the total categorical block grant that the charter school will receive. Note: There are insufficient monies to fund the 2009-10 block grant at the $500 rate, which will require a deficit factor to be applied. |
