Funding Description

Pursuant to the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB) of 2001, Title 1, Part C, the purpose of the Migrant Education program ensures that all students meet the state's challenging academic standards. Funding through this application process supports 23 regional offices to provide supplementary education and support services to migrant children. Funds determined using an approved California Department of Education (CDE) funding formula.

Eligible Applicants Local educational agencies
Required Eligibility Criteria Funding is determined by a formula that includes the number of eligible migrant children and youth, ages three through twenty-one, in each of the 23 currently funded Regional Offices and the number of eligible children served through summer and intersession programs. All participating regions and their school districts must comply with all state and federal statues and guidelines.
