Statewide Student Identifier Maintenance Reimbursement


Funding Description

Funding supports local educational agencies (LEAs) to assign and maintain individual, non-personally identifiable, student identifiers to all their students, kindergarten through grade twelve, enrolled in California public and direct-funded independently reporting charter schools.

Eligible Applicants Local educational agencies
Required Eligibility Criteria Local educational agencies (LEAs) and direct-funded independently reporting charter schools that have not received funding to participate in the CSIS State Reporting program will receive an apportionment from the CDE for the maintenance of the Statewide Student Identifiers.
Other Eligibility Considerations Allocation amounts are based on the certified enrollment counts each year. LEAs do not have to apply for reimbursement. No further application or forms are required.

Allocation Formula Local educational agencies (LEAs) and direct-funded independently reporting charter schools that were not participants in the California School Information Services (CSIS) State Reporting Program are reimbursed annually at the rate of $.25 per student, based on the LEA’s certified enrollment count.
