Funding Description

The California Preschool Instructional Network (CPIN) provides consistent and high quality professional development for preschool administrators and teachers. Professional development activities consist of current research and information, resources, and best practices focusing on school readiness and transition to kindergarten for all children, including children with disabilities.

Required Eligibility Criteria The local educational agencies (LEA) for each region will employ or contract for the services of an Early Childhood Special Education Specialist who will (1) support the activities of the Regional Network Lead; (2) act as liaison to Special Education Local Plan Areas, district and county office special education administrators; and (3) facilitate participation of early childhood special education program personnel in regular training, technical assistance, and information sharing activities of the CPIN.
