Funding Description

This is funding for selected California Partnership Academy (CPA) programs demonstrating outstanding operation and adherence to the California Education Code. These programs have applied for and been designated as Lighthouse Academies. Lighthouse Academies are successful, experienced academies that help to guide the development of strong California Partnership Academies. These CPAs understand academy requirements and have demonstrated that they meet or exceed the standards necessary for success.

Eligible Applicants Local educational agencies
Required Eligibility Criteria The CPA model is mandated per Education Code sections 54690-54696. They are effective school/district/business partnerships, providing integrated academic and career technical instruction to students who are at risk of dropping out of school or who are not motivated by traditional curricula. These programs are currently funded CPAs applying through a competitive process and have been successful in being designated as Lighthouse Academies.
