Special Education Performance Plan Sampling Pilots
Funding Description
Under the Special Education State Performance Plan, the California Department of Education (CDE) is required to develop sampling plans for two indicator areas: (1) Preschool Assessment, and (2) Parent Involvement. One key component of the federal sampling requirement is that school districts with over 50,000 average daily attendance (ADA) must submit data annually while all other districts can submit on a periodic schedule (e.g. every 4 years). The purpose of these grants is to enable those districts over 50,000 ADA to prepare for this annual data collection effort.Eligibility
