California Career Pathways Trust Implementation Grant

Note: The due date for the request for applications has passed. This page is for reference and administration of funding.

Funding in the amount of $250,000,000 has been appropriated as part of the Education Code, sections 53010 through 53016 for the establishment of kindergarten through grade fourteen Career Pathways Programs in the form of on-time competitive grants. Grants will be available for 2015-16 fiscal year through the 2016-17 fiscal year.

Announcement Letter The California Department of Education (CDE) is pleased to announce the availability of funds for the California Career Pathways Trust (CCPT). This is a one-time competitive grant that will be available for the 2015–16 fiscal year through the 2016–17 fiscal year.
Letter of Intent to Apply (DOC)
Due date: Friday, November 21, 2014
The Letter of Intent to Apply is required to enable the CDE staff to prepare for the grant application review process. Agencies that do not submit this Letter of Intent to Apply to the CDE will be excluded from participating in the grant application process.
List of Agencies Provides a list of agencies that submitted a Letter of Intent to Apply and who are eligible to proceed in the CCPT application process.

The Request For Application describes the elements of the California Career Pathways Trust and contains instructions for applying.

Application Workshops

Provides the date, time and location of four workshops and one webinar to be held throughout California. The workshops and webinar will provide and overview of the RFA and other potential applicants an opportunity to ask questions.

This also provides the date and time of one webinar that will provide information to potential applicants regarding the online application process and to ask questions related to the application online system. (It is highly recommended to attend.)

Required as a condition of receiving funds. Applicants do not need to sign and return them with the application; they must be downloaded and kept on file for compliance reviews, complaint investigations, or audits. Applicants that participate in the Consolidated Application (ConApp) should have a copy on file and do not need another copy. Program-specific assurances are not included here and should be listed separately on the Request for Application.
