FY 2017-18 Infant/Toddler Quality Rating and Improvement System (QRIS) Grant
Note: The due date for the request for applications has passed. This page is for reference and administration of funding.
The funds in the amount of $10.3 million in federal Child Care and Development Funds have been appropriated for the purpose of QRIS consortia to provide training, technical assistance, and resources to help infant and toddler child care providers meet a higher tier of quality as determined by their local QRIS rating matrix. The California Department of Education (CDE) envisions that a local consortium will use the QRIS Block Grant to support local early learning programs and increase the number of low-income infants and toddlers in high quality early learning programs. This application provides a means to continue the work initiated by the provisions of Senate Bill 97 (Chapter 11, Statutes of 2015) of the 2015-16 Annual Budget Act, Section 77, Budget Item 6100-194-0001, Schedule (12), Provision 17 which is Appendix B3.
