Title III, Part A, Language Instruction for English Learners


Note: The due date for the request for applications has passed. This page is for reference and administration of funding.

Funding is made available to eligible local educational agencies (LEAs) to provide supplementary programs and services to limited English proficient (LEP) students, known as English learners (ELs). The purpose of the subgrants is to assist EL students to acquire English and achieve grade-level and graduation standards. Note: Recipients and funding amounts are subject to budget and administrative adjustments. Late applicants will be funded based on availability of funds.

Schedule of the Preliminary Entitlements and Eligibility, FY 2016-17 Preliminary eligibility earmarks for application for funding via Consolidated Application Reporting System (CARS) or Consortia Online Application (COA).

Funding Apportionment Payments Schedule of apportionments.
Cash Management Data Collection System (CMDC) A quarterly Web-based data collection for LEAs to report cash balance data in order to receive their apportionments.
Private Schools Consultation (DOC) Private School participation letter.

Direct Funded

Document Description
Direct Funded Supplemental Application for New and Expanding Charter Schools, FY 2016-17 E-mail notification of preliminary identification as direct funded eligible for new and expanding charter schools.
Funding Application Instructions Direct funded eligible LEAs must complete the CARS application to receive funding.
