Senate Bill (SB) 98
(Chapter 24, Statutes of 2020) prohibits the CDE from producing the state and local indicators on the 2019–20 California School Dashboard
(Dashboard). SB 98 also specifies that the CDE shall not identify LEAs during the 2020–21 school year for the technical assistance or intervention process based on the performance criteria used for the Dashboard.
SB 98 further directs the CDE to publish any data collected through CALPADS that is determined to be valid and reliable that would have been included in the 2020 Dashboard to be published on DataQuest or the CDE website. The CDE is currently processing and evaluating the validity and reliability of the 2019–20 data which are expected to be released later this year.
