CACFP Reimbursement Rates for School Year 2021-22
On July 28, 2021, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) announced the new reimbursement rates for the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP).

Child and Adult Care Food Program Reimbursement RatesThe federal CACFP center rates and the day care home (DCH) provider rates for Program Year (PY) 2021–22 increased. The DCH sponsor administrative rates for PY 2021–22 have also increased.
For center meal rates, the free lunch and supper rate increased from $3.51 to $3.66, a $0.15 increase per meal. The centers also receive cash-in-lieu (CIL) of commodities equal to $0.26 for each lunch and supper.
The DCH sponsor administrative rates have increased. The monthly rate per home for the first 50 homes is now $126.
The DCH provider meal rates for Tiers I and II have increased for PY 2021–22.
The Department of Social Services (DSS) is also happy to announce the expansion of the state meal reimbursement rates to include all CACFP sponsors. This will help California increase access to underserved areas by providing an additional $0.1853 for each breakfast and lunch served. DSS will be communicating when this funding is available for program operator reimbursements.
