The 2021 California Farm to School Conference
The free California Farm to School Conference will take place virtually on March 10–12, 2021. The conference brings together farm to school practitioners concentrating in school food and education and offers professional development, networking, and sharing of best practices. This year’s agenda focuses on 1) expanding food access, 2) increasing equity, 3) lifting student voices, and 4) opening school markets for California specialty crop producers, with an emphasis on establishing farm to school programs that connect classrooms, cafeterias, and communities!
Sessions include:
- School Supported Agriculture: Ben Thomas and Yousef Buzayan, Community Alliance with Family Farmers
- Telling Your Students' Story: Amber Stott, Food Literacy Center
- Innovative Strategies to Increase Food Security and Promote Equity: Amanda Mascia, San Diego Hunger Coalition; Tida Infahsaeng, San Diego Food System Alliance; Catherine Slomka, MS, RD, Oceanside Unified School District; and Deirdre Kleske, County of San Diego Health and Human Services Agency
