The Early Childhood Development Act of 2020 (Senate Bill (SB) 98, Chapter 24, Statutes of 2020) authorized the transfer of child care and development programs administered by the California Department of Education to the California Department of Social Services (CDSS) effective July 1, 2021. This Management Bulletin (MB) notifies agencies participating in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) that the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Food and Nutrition Service (FNS), has issued the following handbooks pertaining to the administration of the CACFP:
- Adult Day Care Handbook
- Crediting Handbook for the CACFP
- Guidance for Management Plans and Budgets
- Serious Deficiency, Suspension, and Appeals for State Agencies and Sponsoring Organizations
- At Risk Afterschool Meals Handbook
- Family Day Care Home Monitoring Handbook
