2023–24 FFVP Second Allocation Funding Results
Congratulations! This announcement notifies you of your award for the 2023–24 Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program (FFVP) second allocation. Grant recipients are posted on the California Department of Education (CDE) Funding Results FFVP web page.
Funding for this program is provided in two allocations, the first of which was announced on Friday, July 21, 2023. Combined, these two allocations provide the full funding for the FFVP for a total award of $67.50 per student.
The Grant Award Notification (GAN) letter for the second allocation will be emailed to your school district’s Superintendent who, as the authorized child nutrition program representative, will be the designated authorized signatory for the Adobe Sign secure electronic signature process. Food service directors or managers will be cc’d with view only access.
The GAN includes details about the grant requirements, funding allocations, and the mandatory online orientation training series. You should review the GAN closely. Additionally, your Superintendent must complete the e-signature process using Adobe Sign within 10 business days of receipt of the GAN email.
Upon completion, the CDE and your superintendent will receive a final PDF copy by email (food service directors or managers will be cc’d).
IMPORTANT: FFVP claims will not be processed until your required GAN documents are e-signed via Adobe Sign and received by the CDE. Mailed or scanned documents will not be processed.
The 2023–24 FFVP grant year is from July 1, 2023, through June 30, 2024. The CDE has awarded grants to 462 elementary school sites, representing 99 school food authorities. Awards were made to applicants whose student population eligible for free and reduced-price meals was at or above 88 percent. The FFVP is a reimbursement program and awards are based on each school’s student enrollment.
