In an effort to end hunger by 2030, reduce diet related diseases, and increase healthy eating and physical activity, the Biden-Harris Administration is hosting a White House Conference on Hunger, Nutrition, and HealthExternal link opens in new window or tab.. In September 2022, the Administration is releasing a plan encouraging the public and private sectors to work together to transform US food and physical activity environments with hopes of finding solutions to end hunger, improve nutrition, and physical activity and eliminate disparities.

To that end, the White House is hosting a series of regional listening sessions that will include breakout discussions covering the following five key areas to help identify actions that can be applied to all sectors:

  1. Improving food access and affordability
  2. Integrating nutrition and health
  3. Empowering all consumers to make and have access to healthy choices
  4. Supporting physical activity for all
  5. Enhancing nutrition and food security research

Participation Information

The listening session for the West Coast and Pacific region is scheduled for June 9, 2022 from 3:00-5:00 pm.
