CACFP Meal Patterns Training Slides and Resources


The California Department of Education is pleased to share the following new resources from U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Team Nutrition (TN).

USDA TN has released three new Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) meal patterns training slide presentations. The three new presentations are:

  • Mealtimes with Toddlers in the CACFP
  • Serving Vegetables in the CACFP
  • Using the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Food Lists to Identify Grains for the CACFP

Training tools with the same titles accompany the slide presentations and are free to download on the USDA CACFP Training Tools web pageExternal link opens in new window or tab..

CACFP sponsoring organizations and operators may use these ready-to-go presentation slides and training tools for training purposes, including for training providers, operators, and menu planners.
