TN Resource: Offering Meat/Meat Alternates in SBPs

The California Department of Education is pleased to share the following new resource from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Team Nutrition (TN), that provides guidance to Child Nutrition Program (CNP) Operators on how they can offer meat/meat alternates (M/MA) as part of a reimbursable breakfast in the School Breakfast Program (SBP).

This colorful training guide includes information on meal pattern requirements, tips for menu planning, sample menus, and success stories. The resource is available in English and in Spanish.
