Pandemic EBT 2.0 Address Update Flyers

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Main Web Page

As previously shared, the federal Pandemic EBT (P-EBT) program was extended through the Continuing Appropriations Act, 2021 and Other Extensions Act. This law extends P-EBT benefits through September 2021.

To provide P-EBT benefits for School Year (SY) 2020–21, the California Department of Education (CDE) and Department of Social Services (CDSS) have submitted a P-EBT state plan for approval to the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). As we await USDA approval, we have asked that Local Education Agencies (LEA) work with eligible families to ensure that student mailing addresses are up-to-date and uploaded into California Longitudinal Pupil Achievement Data System (CALPADS).

The CDE has provided the following materials:

The parent flyers are available in both English and Spanish. The CDE encourages LEAs to utilize these materials to encourage families to update addresses at the LEA level. LEAs are encouraged to ensure that these addresses are updated in CALPADS by March 12, 2021.

Thank you in advance for your efforts. The P-EBT program provides an important source of funding for California’s most vulnerable students.
