On March 23, 2022, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) issued Policy Memorandum SP 07-2022, CACFP 06-2022, and SFSP 02-2022: Promoting Access to Voting through the Child Nutrition Programs.

The policy memo encourages all State agencies administering Child Nutrition Programs to provide promotional materials to local program operators to expand access to and education about voter registration and election information.
