School Year 2021–22 P-EBT Data Collection Reminder

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Main Web Page

This communication is to remind local educational agencies (LEA) about School Year 2021–22 Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer (P-EBT) data reporting. P-EBT daily benefit amounts depend on the number of days a student was enrolled in independent study or had excused absences of five or more days in a month.

LEAs that report student information in the California Longitudinal Pupil Reporting System (CALPADS), are reminded to submit a CALPADS Student Absence Summary (STAS) file for each calendar month from August 2021 through May 2022 by September 30, 2022. More information about this report is available at the California Department of Education (CDE) CALPADS Communications web page.

LEAs that operate private or nonpublic schools are reminded to submit student eligibility and absence data through a separate data collection administered by the Nutrition Services Division (NSD). Information about NSD’s private school collection for P-EBT can be found on the CDE P-EBT for Private and Nonpublic School Students web page.

Contact Information

For questions about the CALPADS STAS file, please contact the CALPADS Operations Office by email at calpads@cde.ca.gov.

For questions about private and nonpublic school data collection, please contact the NSD at PEBT@cde.ca.gov.
