Tip Sheet: CACFP Meal Service During COVID-19

The California Department of Education (CDE) Nutrition Services Division has created a new tip sheet to assist Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) Operators who are conducting meal service during the COVID-19 pandemic:

  • Meal Service for CACFP Operators during COVID-19: A tip sheet containing best practices and frequently asked questions and answers for serving nutritious meals and supporting small children, while Family Style Meal Service is unsafe and not in practice in the CACFP.
