Dear County and District Superintendents, Charter School Administrators, and School Principals:

The Fair Share for Equality Convening

I encourage you to support the attendance of administrators and teachers from your districts and schools at the Fourth Annual Fair Share for Equality Convening presented by the Equality California Institute. The event will take place on Friday, April 6, 2018, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Paramount Studios, 5555 Melrose Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90038.

The Fair Share for Equality convening brings together LGBTQ leaders, advocates, research experts, legislators, and other government officials to discuss the disparities in health and well-being that LGBTQ people continue to face and to ensure that a “fair share” of resources are made available to advance the health and well-being of California’s LGBTQ community. It also brings together leaders and experts to identify populations most in need of focus and to develop program recommendations that will be most beneficial. Topics include health care, mental health, HIV/AIDS, immigration, safe and supportive schools, seniors, employment, homelessness, transgender rights, data collection, and budgetary resources.
