Dear Sarah Neville-Morgan,
The Office of Child Care has completed its review of your background check extension request, submitted June 29, 2017. This letter is to inform you that your request has been approved with an effective date of October 1, 2017 through September 30, 2018.
The Child Care and Development Block Grant of 2014 gives the Secretary the option to grant a State or Territory an extension of up to one fiscal year from September 30, 2017 to meet the background check requirements, as long as the State demonstrates a good faith effort to comply.
We look forward to our continued partnership in the administration of your Child Care and Development Fund program. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please feel free to contact the San Francisco Regional Office.
