Dear Select County and District Superintendents and Charter School Administrators:
Title III Immigrant Student Program Annual Survey
As a condition of receiving funding under the Elementary and Secondary Education Act, as reauthorized by the Every Student Succeeds Act, each Title III Immigrant Student Program subgrantee accepts certain assurances, including the requirement to make reports as necessary to enable the state agency to perform its duties. To facilitate this reporting, the California Department of Education (CDE) has created an online survey to collect data related to the Title III-funded programs. This data will inform the report submitted to the U.S. Department of Education as required. The online survey will be available to your local educational agency (LEA) from August 9, 2021, through September 17, 2021.
The survey consists of two questions regarding the Title III-funded activities in which immigrant students in your LEA participated during the 2020–21 school year. The director or administrator who oversees the LEA’s Title III immigrant student services should complete this survey.
The online survey can be found on the CDE Title III Immigrant Student Program Annual Survey web page at http://www2.cde.ca.gov/title3edprogram/immlogon.aspx. In order to access the survey, you will need a personal identification number, which will be emailed separately at the same time as this letter.
If you have any questions, please contact Cheryl McGee, Associate Governmental Program Analyst, Language Policy and Leadership Office, by phone at 916-323-5838 or by email at TitleIIISurvey@cde.ca.gov.
