California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress—Report on Interim and Formative Assessment Tools

This report provides information on the interim and formative assessment tools available to local educational agencies (LEAs), the extent to which the tools have been accessed and used by LEAs, and feedback from LEAs on the value and efficacy of the tools. In addition, the report describes key interim and formative assessment tools that educators can use to identify instructional and assessment supports for specific standards or clusters of standards and describes the work that is underway to develop resources that will provide educators with student performance on individual standards or clusters of standards as well as considerations in developing such resources.
