CAA for Science Transition to Operational Timeline
The following table provides a timeline for the California Alternate Assessment (CAA) for Science transition to an operational assessment.
2020–21 Administration | 2021–22 Administration |
---|---|
Preliminary indicators are available in the downloadable student score extract file in the Test Operations Management System. | The operational test began on September 7, 2021. California Department of Education (CDE) will use the 2021–22 administration data, along with the educator panel recommendations from standard setting, to inform the State Superintendent of Public Instruction’s (SSPI) recommended threshold scores. The CDE will seek approval of the SSPI’s recommended threshold scores from the California State Board of Education in September 2022. If the recommended threshold scores are approved, the scale scores and achievement levels will be provided on a separate California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) Student Score Report and on the CAASPP public reporting website in November 2022. |
