Don’t forget! All local educational agencies (LEAs) must submit the 1 percent survey—whether or not they exceeded the 1.0 percent cap for administering the California Alternate Assessments (CAAs). Attend this California Department of Education (CDE)-hosted webinar on September 16 and find out everything you need to know about the survey and the 1 percent process for the CAAs. Register Now! Remote Administration of Interim Assessments—Shared Practices Webinar
Calling all California CAASPP test coordinators! The CDE will host a “Using Interim Assessments During Distance Learning” shared practices webinar on September 21 from 2:30 to 4 p.m. Test coordinators are invited to join in and hear panelists from several California LEAs share their plans and ideas for the following topics:
- Administering interim assessments remotely
- How LEAs are using interim assessments
- Using data from interim assessments during distance learning
- Measuring learning loss due to COVID-19 school closures

Renowned Educator Douglas Fisher to Speak at 2020 CAC
Join us next month for the virtual 2020 California Assessment Conference (CAC) and hear from Douglas Fisher, Ph.D., co-author of the recently published Distance Learning Playbook. In his CAC keynote address “Assessing Learning, from a Distance,” Dr. Fisher will discuss the value and intricacies of student assessment in today’s reality of distance learning.
