California Science Test Classroom Resources Now Available!
Great news! The new periodic table is available for science teachers to download as a classroom resource. This printable PDF version of the California Science Test (CAST) periodic table (PDF), along with reference sheets of formulas, can be found on the CAASPP Portal Test Administration—CAST web page .
The new periodic table, which is fully accessible for students using Job Access with Speech (JAWS), has added features that allow students to resize and move the table within the items for easier viewing. Students in grade eight and high school can access the periodic table and reference sheets on the new practice and training tests and on the 2018–19 operational CAST. The grade eight and high school reference sheets provide all of the formulas and constants needed to respond to the CAST questions. Both the periodic table and reference sheets are universal tools and are intended for use by all students who take the CAST. The braille versions of the new periodic table and the reference sheets are coming soon!
