2019–20 LEA CAASPP Coordinator Checklist!
The 2019–20 LEA CAASPP Coordinator Checklist is now available! The California Department of Education (CDE) has produced this checklist for local educational agency (LEA) CAASPP coordinators to assist them in understanding the tasks and other activities necessary to ensure the successful administration of the CAASPP assessments. Tasks are listed for the months in which they are most likely to occur; however, the timing may need to be adjusted to best fit local schedules. The checklist can be found on the CAASPP Portal Manuals and Instructions web page .
New CDE Alternate ELPAC Web Page
The CDE is pleased to announce its new Alternate ELPAC web page, which provides a program overview, a high-level development time line, and information for LEAs on how to begin preparing for the Alternate ELPAC. It also includes resources and communications materials for the assessment.
Posted: 2019–20 ELPAC Information Guide
The 2019–20 ELPAC Information Guide (PDF) posted on the CDE website. This version includes a “What’s New” section that provides the most up-to-date information about the ELPAC, including the following:
- Minor changes to the Summative ELPAC domains and task types
- Updates to the reclassification guidelines
- Information regarding the new 2018–19 Summative ELPAC threshold score ranges, which reflect minor updates to the 2017–18 threshold score ranges
ELPAC Test Security Affidavit for Non-TOMS Users Now Available
The new electronic ELPAC Test Security Affidavit for non-Test Operations Management System (TOMS) users is now available on the ELPAC website. This affidavit is to be used for roles including proctor, LEA staff with access to secure ELPAC materials, and Initial ELPAC Test Examiners for kindergarten and grades one and two who do not have a role in TOMS. This form can be accessed on the ELPAC website , under the Test Administration tab. Once the individual selects the Submit Form button, the affidavit will automatically be sent to the site ELPAC coordinator.
