A Spanish version of the video Understanding the CAASPP Individual Student Score Report is now available on the CDE CAASPP Communications Toolkit web page. This video describes and explains the new 2015 CAASPP Student Score Report.
Featured Digital Library resource! Understanding the Formative Assessment Process is a 15-minute video that provides an introduction to the formative assessment process and is recommended for all educators. It describes the four attributes of the formative assessment process—clarify intended learning, elicit evidence, interpret evidence, and act on evidence—and highlights supporting research. In addition, it provides examples of each attribute to help educators plan teaching strategies and engage students in learning. Understanding the Formative Assessment Process is one of four resources currently featured on the Digital Library landing page. Educators are encouraged to view it as well as the other featured resources. The Smarter Balanced Digital Library is an online collection of formative assessment resources available to all California public K–12 educators.
