Standards-Based Tests in Spanish
The California Department of Education is pleased to report that—to date—6,318 students have taken the Standards-based Tests in Spanish (STS) during the current administration! The STS can be administered up to the last day that a local educational agendy (LEA) is in session or by July 16. More information about the STS
is located on the CAASPP Portal . Questions about the administration of the STS should be directed to the California Technical Assistance Center (CalTAC) at 800-955-2954.
Reminder About Requests for Testing Window Extension
Requests by LEAs for an extension of their testing window will be granted only if all three of the following criteria are met:
- The extension will not cause the end date of the new testing window to occur after the end date of the regulatory testing window.
- The extension request is made prior to the last date of the selected testing window.
- The selected testing window has not expired.
LEA CAASPP coordinators can request a test window extension of up to 10 consecutive instructional days (California Code of Regulations, Title 5, Section 855 [b] ) by contacting CalTAC at 800-955-2954. Requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
