Funding Description

Funding provided through the Proposition 98: Career Technical Education Initiative (CTEI). The funded projects must have a statewide benefit. Funding supports the development of registered pre-apprenticeship programs, registered youth apprenticeship, and related industry-led training programs in public schools. Arts, Media, and Entertainment (AME) Workforce Training sites are model programs and provide regional technical assistance.

Eligible Applicants Local educational agencies
Required Eligibility Criteria Project funding is awarded on a non-competitive basis to agencies that have the appropriate expertise needed to address the career technical education (CTE) Arts, Media, and Entertainment (AME) Workforce Training program goals. Funded programs will provide regional technical assistance for statewide benefit. California schools, including direct-funded charter schools, juvenile court and community schools, alternative schools of choice, and adult schools are eligible.

Funding

Legal Authority Funding is provided to LEAs to conduct statewide leadership projects at the direction of CDE staff. Funding provided through the CTEI pursuant to the supplemental report of Budget Item 6100-170-0001.
