Updated Sample Procurement Procedures


The California Department of Education (CDE) Nutrition Services Division has updated the Sample Procurement Procedures to include recent policy changes, which includes the following:

  • Buy American Provision

  • Food and Agriculture Code 58595 and 58596.1-5 supporting agriculture products grown in California

  • Micropurchase threshold designation

  • Termination for cause and convenience

  • Child Nutrition Program Integrity Final Rule

  • Other certifications

This version of the document supersedes older versions. The CDE requests that Program Operators update their agency’s Procurement Procedures to ensure they align with current federal regulations and state laws.
