This district has reported that it is correcting 2001 STAR demographic information for this school. The 2000–2001 API Growth Report, reflecting the corrected information, will be available in December 2001.

Eligibility for awards will also be determined in December 2001.

No 2000 API (Base) nor 2001 API (Growth) can be reported because of one of the following reasons:

• The school (or the district on behalf of the school) has certified to the California Department of Education that an irregularity in testing procedure occurred during the Spring 2000 Stanford 9 testing;
  
  
• For at least one Stanford 9 content area, this school failed to test in 2000 a significant portion of students who were not exempt from testing;
  
  
• The school has unresolved discrepancies in its demographic data for the 2000 STAR testing.

The 2001 API (Base) will be released by February 2002.

This school's proportion of students excused at parent request compared to its 2001 Standardized Testing and Reporting (STAR) program enrollment on the first day of testing is equal to or greater than 10 percent.

When a school's proportion of parental waivers is equal to or greater than 10 but less than 20 percent, the Department of Education (CDE) conducts standard statistical tests to check whether the pupils tested at the school were representative of the entire school's population. This school failed the statistical test or its proportion of parental waivers in 2001 is 20 percent or greater, therefore, the school does not have a valid API for 2001.

This school serves a non-traditional student population and has elected to participate in the alternative accountability system. It is projected that the first reporting for schools in the alternative accountability system will be in July 2002.
