Title III Data and Data Collection

California's data collection procedures for English learner (EL) and immigrant students.

California Longitudinal Pupil Achievement Data System (CALPADS) and Student National Origin Report (SNOR)

Funding for Title III programs is based on the annual enrollment of eligible English learner (EL) and immigrant students. The CALPADS is used to collect the number of EL and immigrant students in local educational agencies (LEAs). Private schools provide the number of immigrant students on the SNOR.

Consolidated Application and Reporting System (CARS)

Data entered into the CARS reports the number of EL and immigrant students served in LEAs and the number of EL students served in private schools.

Demographics

Enrollment data on eligible immigrant students is available at the LEA, county, and state levels as well as by national origin. The EL student demographics include reports at the school, district, county, and state levels and also include data on teachers and instructional assistants. These reports on ELs are available online through the DataQuest search feature.
