Funds are available to eligible local educational agencies (LEAs) to provide supplementary programs and services to eligible immigrant students. The purpose of the program is to assist these students to achieve grade-level and graduation standards.

| Required Eligibility Criteria |
LEAs that experienced a 5 percent or greater growth in the enrollment of eligible immigrant students in 2006 as compared to the average of the eligible immigrant enrollments of 2004 and 2005 are eligible to apply. |
| Other Eligibility Considerations |
LEAs scheduled for a formula subgrant of $10,000 or more may apply via the Consolidated Application. LEAs scheduled for a subgrant of less than $10,000 must apply as a member of a consortium. The total funding of the consortium members must equal $10,000 or more. |

| Other | LEAs eligible for direct funding are asked to accept or decline funds via Part I of the Consolidated Application by June 30, 2007. LEAS that are required to apply as a member of a consortium must submit an application to the Language Policy and Leadership Office. Consortium Applications are due on or before June 30, 2007. LEAs that fail to respond by the deadline cannot be guaranteed funding for 2007-08. |
