Bilingual Teacher Training Program (BTTP) funds support schools and districts in preparing teachers, kindergarten through grade twelve, for California Commission on Teacher Credentialing authorization to provide instructional services to English learners. The training prepares teachers in the appropriate methodologies to facilitate English learners' acquisition of English and academic development.

Only the 14 currently funded county offices of education that serve as regional training centers are eligible to apply. These regional training centers must reapply for BTTP funds on an annual basis. |
