Funding supports intensive instruction and services for eligible students in the Class of 2009 and the Class of 2010 who are required to pass the California High School Exit Examination (CAHSEE) and have failed one or both parts of the examination.

Eligible pupils are those 11th and 12th grade pupils that have failed one or both parts of the CAHSEE. Local educational agencies must submit application data to the California Department of Education to receive funds. |

| Allocation Formula | Entitlements are calculated first at a rate of up to $520 per eligible 12th grade pupil. To the extent funds remain after all 12th grade pupils are funded at $520 per pupil, the remaining balance of funds is allocated on an equal per 11th grade pupil basis. |
