The Instructional Materials Funding Realignment Program (IMFRP) provides funding to school and county offices of education for the purchase of instructional materials. Funding is to be used first to provide each pupil with adopted standards-aligned instructional materials in the core curriculum areas of reading-language arts, mathematics, science, and history-social science.

LEAs must provide written assurance of conformance to the Superintendent of Public Instruction, that all purchases of instructional materials made with these funds conform to law and the applicable rules and regulations adopted by the state board. (Education Code Section 60242.5) |
