Before 2008-09, the funds were restricted to the Chief Business Officer (CBO) Training Program, which provided incentive funding to school districts, county offices of education, and direct-funded charter schools to send their CBOs or CBO candidates to training given by state-qualified training providers.

| Allocation Formula | Funding for this program from fiscal years 2009-10 through 2012-13 will be based on 2008-09 funding levels. LEAs will receive the same percentage of the available funding that they received of the funding allocated in 2008-09. For fiscal year 2009-10, LEAs will receive approximately the same amount they received based on revised totals for fiscal year 2008-09, less approximately 4.5 percent. |
