Funding Description
These funds are earmarked specifically for distribution to CDE from the PG&E Corporation Foundation for the purpose of supporting California Partnership Academies in up to five school districts (located in PG&E’s service territory) to facilitate the development of these Academies focused on green energy and utilities careers in collaboration with industry, secondary and post-secondary participants.Eligibility

Required Eligibility Criteria | Grantees have been selected. The grantee is required to only use these funds for the development of the academy program as it relates to the New Energy Academies, Powered by the Pacific Gas and Electric Company partnership in preparation for implementation in the fall of 2010. The program must be developed in accordance with the provisions of California Education Code (EC) sections 54690 through 54697, the California Partnership Academies model. |
Other Eligibility Considerations | The five Academies participating in this project agree to implement a specific sequence of career technical education courses focused on Green Energy and Utilities professions to begin fall 2010. |
