Funding is made available to eligible local educational agencies (LEAs) to provide supplementary programs and services to eligible immigrant students. The purpose of the subgrants is to assist immigrant students to acquire English and achieve grade-level and graduation standards. Note: Recipients and funding amounts are subject to budget and administrative adjustments.

| Required Eligibility Criteria |
LEAs that experienced a 2 percent or greater growth in the enrollment of eligible immigrant students in 2009 as compared to the average of the eligible immigrant enrollments of 2007 and 2008 are eligible to apply. |
| Other Eligibility Considerations |
LEAs scheduled to receive a formula subgrant of more than $5,000 or more may apply for Title III LEP student funds directly via the Consolidated Application (ConApp). LEAs scheduled to receive a formula subgrant of less than $5,000 must apply as a member of a consortium. |

| Other | LEAs eligible for direct funding are asked to accept or decline funds via Part I of the Consolidated Application by June 30, 2010. LEAs that are required to apply as a member of a consortium must submit an application through the consortia online application. Consortium applications are due on or before June 30, 2010. LEAs that fail to respond by the deadline cannot be guaranteed funding for 2010-11. |
