County Offices of Education Fiscal Oversight


Funding Description

Funds are apportioned to county offices of education for the fiscal oversight of school districts and are to be used for activities that include, but are not limited to, conducting reviews, examinations, and audits of districts, and providing written notifications of the results, at least annually, on the fiscal solvency of the districts with disapproved budgets, qualified or negative certifications, or districts facing fiscal uncertainty.

Allocation Formula The allocation is distributed based on the 2009-10 Annual "Other Purpose" average daily attendance. Eligible county offices of education receive a minimum per unit of average daily attendance, but not less than $69,920.
