An opportunity to apply for federal funding for the Administrator Training Program is available for fiscal year (FY) 2011-12. Please be advised that these applications will go before the November 2011 meeting of the State Board of Education for approval and grant awards are anticipated to be released in November 2011. The grant period for these funds is from July 1, 2011 through September 1, 2013. All training and online surveys must be completed by that time. The Administrator Training Program supports professional development that focuses on building principal and vice principal leadership skills and the capacity necessary to serve effectively in their critical and complex roles. Federal funding comes from No Child Left Behind (NCLB): Title II, Part A, Principal Training.
