Funding Description

Carl D. Perkins Career & Technical Education provides local educational agencies with funding for the improvement of secondary and postsecondary career and technical education programs. Funding is provided to (1) state institutions, including the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (Section 112); (2) secondary education programs (Section 131); and (3) postsecondary programs (Section 132).

Eligibility

Eligible Applicants Local educational agencies
Required Eligibility Criteria State Special Schools, the Department of Juvenile Justice, and the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation are eligible to apply for Section 112 funding. High school districts, charter high schools, county-operated court and community schools, and the Department of Juvenile Justice schools are eligible to apply for Section 131 funds. Regional Occupational Centers and Programs, adult schools, and community colleges are eligible to apply for Section 132 funds.
