Child Care Facilities Revolving Fund General Facilities Application FY 2012-13

The Child Care Facilities Revolving Fund (CCFRF) provides funding for the purchase of new relocatable child care facilities for lease to school districts and contracting agencies that provide child care and development services. Applicant agencies receiving funds under the CCFRF must repay the CDE over a ten-year period, interest free. The CCFRF is not a grant program.

Eligibility

Eligible Applicants	Institutions of higher education, local educational agencies, nonprofit organizations, other organizations or agencies
Required Eligibility Criteria	Existing child care provider agencies that serve subsidized children are eligible to apply for funds through the CCFRF.
Other Eligibility Considerations	Applicant agencies must have a current need for facilities due to (1) class size reduction or other displacements; (2) program expansion; or (3) replacement due to health and safety needs. The applicant agencies must also be in good standing with the California Department of Education.

Allocation Formula	No one applicant agency may receive more than 10 percent of the CCFRF funding available for any given fiscal year. $210,000 for a new basic building consisting of three 12- by 40-foot sections; up to $70,000 for each additional 12- by 40-foot section beyond the basic building.
