State Performance Plan Facilitated Review Grant: Disproportionate Representation

Funding Description

The State Performance Plan (SPP) Facilitated Review Grant specific to disproportionate representation is designed to assist local educational agencies (LEAs): (1) improve educational results and functional outcomes for all children with disabilities; and (2) ensure that LEAs meet compliance and SPP program requirements specific to disproportionality. The SPP-Technical Assistance system consists of a partnership with the California Department of Education, the Napa County Office of Education and participating school districts.

Allocation Formula The California Department of Education receives funding under three provisions of the federal Individuals with Disabilities Education Act. California's Legislature and Governor provide the guidelines for these funds through the annual Budget Act.
