Funding Description

The County School Service Fund Contingency Account provides reimbursement to county superintendents of schools for the actual and necessary travel expenses incurred by the county superintendent of schools or members of his/her staff in connection with cooperative county publication projects and expenses incurred in providing emergency education to pupils and making financial grants to school districts pursuant to Education Code Section 1602.

Required Eligibility Criteria All county offices of education are eligible to receive funding.
Other Eligibility Considerations Travel expense reimbursement is provided for meeting attendance that is confirmed by the Curriculum and Instruction Steering Committee chair on the J-4A form, and claims that are certified by the county superintendents.

Allocation Formula Reimbursement is available for actual and necessary travel expenses incurred by the county superintendents or staff between July 1, 2011 and June 30, 2012 in connection with cooperative county publication projects. Reimbursements will be prorated if the total claims exceed $100,000.
